The numbers are in on speed cameras, this is an “investment” vehicle for the government costing tens of thousands that has the abiltiy to pay for itself in a matter of hours. Clearly from the images we see here the people have spoken and speed cameras are not going to win you any votes. Slowing down in camera zones and speeding up again has become a national sport! They don’t save lives the numbers have proven it, policing motorists was much more effective when it was not a business with budgets to meet. In certain parts of the world when the cameras rolled in and the people slowed down speed cameras did not meet the budgets - it was then certain governments reduced the tolerences in order to get the numbers back up. This is not a practice that lines up well with the intended effect of reducing speed on the roads. If they were serious about getting the accident rates down then they would focus more on road fundinig and driver education. But wait that might actaully cost money.

For all the things written about George W Bush one thing remains true, some people are going to miss him when he is gone. It’s hard to go past George as a political target for satire unless you look back to the glory days of Regan and Thatcher. Of course Clinton was good but Geoge W is when your talking in terms of a moving target one of the greats of our time. Take the time to look at a few of the images below that capture some truly great moments. Yes when he goes there will be those who look back and chuckle…

From where I sit there is all upside to this process but then again I am not in the market for breast implants right now! Implants are good in theory and they sure do look great. More and more women are turning to cosmetic surgery to enhance their appearance these days and more and more “surgeons” are competing for advertising space! Cosmetic surgery is not cheap and if it is cheap then questions need to be answered. It’s far and away removed from buying a new car and more like a one way ticket to a life change - good or bad. The key to a great result must to some extent lie in thorough research and refferal. In this industry you will more often than not get what you pay for. When it comes to implants a good poice of advise would be to think in terms of moderation. Big is not always better. At a guess I would suggest the biggest growth market in the cosmetic arena is the “men” although many men would be reluctant to talk about it men are doing the research and getting in line for lipo, face lifts and impants.
Why are men going under the knife? Image and self image is so much more important these days, jobs, relationships and an ageing population mean that men are under pressure to look good for longer. 40 is the new 30 as they say! There are a lot more divorces and lot more single men an women revolving through the singles scene. People are less active and food is not as good as it was 20 or 30 years ago and as a poulation we carry the weight around our middle much more. Surgery can be a quick and effective way to arrest and reverse the middle age spread that hits so many males these days. It has not taken long for the finance companies to catch on with a range of finance options on offer for your chosen proceedure - Imagine the tricky repo job if you failed to make your repayments!
